Win Free Tickets For The ProteinTV Premiere
Roll out the red carpets, fence off the paparazzi and
look out for the beautiful people with silly smiles ... it's
the proteinTV "pod" premiere. Yup, the ironically individual
Internet TV station, proteinTV is premiering a tip-top
selection of short films, digital videos, music promos
and quirky animations at 9pm this Saturday night at
Critical Image/Critical Mass, a weekend long digifest
of day-glow downloads and stone-washed silicon.
proteinTV will be featuring an exclusive selection of
Screen Dynamics* that they have broadcast via the Internet
on proteinTV over the last five months. It features an
awesome animation/cartoon by DJ Q-bert of the Invisibl
Skratch Piklz fame fresh from Cannes, two first ever
UK showings from US new-comer Todd Lincoln, new work
by OS2 and "Still Buzzin'" which is a fantastic take "too
much, too young ... too late" made by the same people who
made "Human Traffic". We are assured that it's going to
be "pure pixel pushing pleasure." Can't argue with that,
especially if you can get in for free ...
Those nice people at The Lux have given proteinTV five
pairs of tickets to "do with as they wish", which will
hopefully make some lucky people's Saturday night
even more "special". So, if you fancy hanging with the
cool kids for free this weekend, break out those baggy
combats and contact them on the address below:
mailto:premiere@proteinTV.com
You, of course, have to able to get yourself to and from
The Lux Centre which is on Hoxton Square, EC2. The
nearest Tube is Old Street and if anyone who didn't win
but still wants to go and get high on some projectional
gymnastics in the digital ether, the tax is £5/3 or you
could try and blag your own free tickets by calling
0171 684 0201 now.
So, if you don't have too much happening *this*
afternoon, as well you can also catch proteinTV's
"Evening with ..." event at 5pm in the self same Lux
It is not strictly in the evening and I don't think
they'll be wearing cravates, sporting jackets and
"sensible shoes", but you will see how they make
movies work for the web and also have a rare
chance of meeting and greeting os2 and Lost In Space
who will both be showing new material and talking
about their work. Tickets are £4/3 so call on
the same number above and we'll see you in the bar
afterwards.
